A single post is always subjected to lateral forces in all directions, either depending on the direction of the wind or depending on the object that it is supporting.
The taller the post, the greater the effect of these forces on the foundations.

So the solution includes a foundation screw of at least 1 m, a connector enabling the vertical position to be adjusted and a pre-milled post (14 mm/170 mm).
This solution is suitable for all types of wooden post and all cross-sections.

  • Advantage 1: High resistance of the post to being pulled out and to lateral forces.

  • Advantage 2: Aesthetic finish, as the post is attached by its centre and can be completed with a finishing washer (D37)

This solution is carried out in 5 steps:

1. Making holes in the ground

2. Installing foundation screws

3. Preparing the post

4. Positioning the connector

5. Mounting the post

Step 1: Making holes in the ground

It is essential to first make a hole in the ground as this ensures that the screw will penetrate well into the soil.
Lubrication helps to position the foundation screw.

Step 2: Installing foundation screws

Our portable electric machines, in combination with a laser transmitter and receiver, are used to install the screws in a level position and do not require any specific actions.

Step 3: Preparing the post

The post is milled with a drill bit of 14 mm in diameter and a depth of 170 mm.
As an option, you can insert glue (+- 2 cm of the cartridge).

The M16/250 threaded rod is equipped with an Allen socket which enables it to be screwed into the milled hole on the post with the aid of a manual screwdriver.

Step 4: Positioning of connectors

The assembly formed by three M10 hexagonal head screws with seal, three M10 bolts and the Multi Washer (118/17/4) is mounted and adjusted until the Multi Washer is perfectly horizontal.

Step 5: Mounting the post

The assembly formed by the post and M16 threaded rod is screwed into the head of the foundation screw, ensuring the solidity of the post-foundation which provides good resistance to strong lateral forces.
